Planning a winter wedding in Raipur
Raipur winters are short and generous. Between the second week of November and the first week of February the afternoon light turns long and low by four o'clock, and a courtyard that looks flat in October suddenly has depth.
Build the day around four o'clock
If you have any flexibility in your muhurat, place your couple portraits between 4:00 and 5:15 pm. Everything else can move around that window.
The best photograph of your wedding will almost certainly be one nobody scheduled.
Keep the mandap away from tube light
Ask your decorator what the light sources are, not just what the flowers are. A warm string of bulbs at head height will do more for your photographs than another twenty thousand rupees of drapery.
Leave a gap after the ceremony
Twenty unhurried minutes after the pheras, before the stage, is where the honest pictures live.
